In Touch: Honor Flight of the Hudson Valley
A fun and exciting event is coming up at Barton Orchard in Poughquag on July 6, 7, and 8. It's the Empire State Balloon Festival and there is truly something for everyone all three days. Be there for the balloon launches on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday morning & evenings with Balloon Glows scheduled for Friday and Saturday night. Plus, enjoy fireworks on Friday and Saturday night.
There will be food trucks and vendors, with Beer Sampling on Saturday, and Craft Soda Sampling on Sunday. See the Racing Pigs, an appearance from the Bubble Bus, and enjoy live music from over 15 Live Bands. Enjoy the Petting Zoo, Gem Mining & Duck Races, the Dog Park, the Inflatable Play Area, and so much more.
This year’s official charity is Hudson Valley Honor Flight, with a portion of the proceeds going to this amazing organization so that they can continue to honor Americans heroes. I had the chance to catch up with Jennifer DeFrancesco, the Executive Director of Hudson Valley Honor Flight on this week's In Touch and I was amazed and touched by all that they do to honor these men and women who fought so that we can enjoy our freedoms.
