Nobody likes a pile of leaves in the yard, but running off with somebody else garden tools isn't the way to go about solving the problem.

A Hyde Park woman is accused of burglarizing a Town of Clinton home and stealing a backpack leaf blower in June 2016, according to a press release from the New York State Police. (Yup, that's June of last year. A full Hudson Valley fall and spring clean up that the rightful owner of said backpack leaf blower had to go without.)

Rachelle Jordan, 30, was arrested on July 8 by New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks. She was charged with second degree burglary, a felony, after an investigation revealed she had unlawfully entered the home and taken the leaf blower, police said.

Jordan was arraigned in the Town of Clinton Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. She will have another Town of Clinton Court appearance at a later date and time.
