I celebrated Amazon Prime Day last week and walked away with some pretty great deals (including a Amazon Fire Stick that took up a majority of my weekend activities). Amazon is great for online shopping, but also for research.

A simple search of "Hudson Valley" in the All Departments category on Amazon provides numerous book and map options. Hiking, camping, travel, things the Hudson Valley is known for. As I continued to scroll down something caught my eye. I clicked and realized there was no coming back from this.

There is a series of romance novels by Alice Clayton that focus on the Hudson Valley. Nuts is the first installment of the "Hudson Valley Series." Nutsfollows a top Hollywood chef, Roxie Callahan on her trip back home to the Hudson Valley after a disastrous in kitchen mistake. Back home in the Hudson Valley she runs into organic walnut farmer Leo Maxwell.

Things get hot and heavy after that. Who knew the Hudson Valley could that steamy.

The follow up to Nuts is the newly released Cream Of the Crop. Much like Nuts, Cream of The Crop is about the successful advertising executive Natalie Greyson who happens to enjoy hitting the NYC farmers market every once in a while. One day she gets very luck and runs into Oscar Mendoza who is described as a:

"purveyor of the finest artisanal cheeses the Hudson Valley has to offer, is tall, dark, mysterious, and a bit oblivious."

Here's a little bit of what you can expect from Cream of The Crop. Remember, this is all about cheese:

"Where did that come from?" I ask, delicately licking my lips, already knowing the answer.

"It's brand-new, from a small dairy in the Hudson Valley. Bailey Falls--"
"-Creamery," I said, the word creamery falling from my lips like a caress. I knew the man who had made this. Strike that. I was aching to know the man that made this. Know him, and "know" him."

Is this the 50 Shades of Grey of the Hudson Valley? Have you read these books before? Let us know!
