Seems like they got a little hot and very bothered.

The world's largest retailer, Walmart, has removed a very popular woman's magazine. According to NPR, the retailer, with multiple Hudson Valley locations, has decided to remove Cosmopolitan Magazine from certain aisles because it's too sexy.

Walmart made the announcement on Tuesday, March 27, announcing that the magazine would be removed from all check-out lanes, but would still be for sale in the store. The company cited the magazine as having 'hyper-sexualized content and covers', according to the article.

Walmart has several Hudson Valley locations:

  • Fishkill
  • Newburgh
  • Walmart
  • Kingston
  • Monroe
  • Mohegan Lake
  • Suffern

Walmart claims that it was a business issue, but also mentioned that the concerns by consumers were considered.

The National Center on Sexual Exploitation, which announced they helped get the magazine removed, often relates Cosmopolitan to porn. This same thing happened with Rite Aid a few years back, according to Slate.

These are just some of their past magazine covers.
