A Hudson Valley man has been charged with murder following a domestic dispute and reports of shots fired Tuesday.

Monticello Police responded to a 911 call of a reported gunshot victim at 62 Park Avenue in Monticello. Arriving offices found 28-year-old Juan Medina of Brooklyn deceased in the doorway.

Witnesses said they saw a Hispanic male approach Median and fire off an undetermined amount of gunshots at Medina as he stood outside the multi-residence building.

Police say an investigation led them to arrest 24-year-old Carlos Serrano Valentine, of Monticello. Valentine was charged with 2nd-degree murder.

Police say Valentine and Medina knew each other and were involved in a domestic dispute.

Valentine was arraigned at the Village of Monticello Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail without bail.
