A Hudson Valley man was arrested on burglary charges after he returned to the scene of the crime for 3 straight days.

Josef Jordan, 39, of Woodbourne was arrested Wednesday at the Clearview Mountain Country Colony on Old Liberty Road near Monticello. Police say on Monday he stole a purse from a bungalow at the colony and used a credit card from the stolen purse to buy power tools at a Home Depot in Monticello

Tuesday, Jordan allegedly stole a laptop computer from another bungalow in Clearview Mountain Country Colony. The laptop owner confronted Jordan and was able to take a picture of his car and license plate.

Wednesday, Jordan again returned to the bungalow colony. Authorities say this time he asked to speak with a caretaker because he was looking for work. Residents called the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office who sent deputies to the scene and took Jordan into custody.

Jordan was charged with 2 counts of burglary. He was arraigned in Town of Thompson Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail without bail.
