The police are asking your help in locating a man who allegedly exposed himself in several Hudson Valley libraries.

Police claim that the man in the photograph above has been exposing himself to public library visitors in Duchess and Putnam Counties. The photograph and a description of the man were released on Wednesday by the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

The latest incident allegedly happened in the Village of Cold Spring at the Butterfield Memorial Library. Police say that on Monday, January 11 at around 1pm a man exposed himself to a female who was visiting the library on Route 9D.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his mid-twenties or early thirties, about 5’ 10" tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a blue Nike sweatshirt with gray sleeves and gray sweatpants in a photo that was provided to police by the library.

Police seem to believe that this man has committed similar flashing incidents at other libraries across the Hudson Valley. Authorities point to a couple of previous complaints in lower Duchess County where they believe the suspect has struck. Anyone with information about the man in question should contact the Cold Spring Police Department at (845) 265-9111 or the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office at (845) 225-4300. Police say that all calls will be kept confidential.
