Multiple Hudson Valley colleges made the annual list of 'Best Colleges For Your Money' in 2018.

College costs are outrageous, I think it's safe to say everyone knows/understands that. So when you're shelling out tens of thousands, sometimes hundreds of thousands, of dollars, you want to get your money's worth. Well, good news! A bunch of colleges in the Hudson Valley made Money Magazine's annual list of Best Colleges For Your Money.

Money rounded up 727 of the best universities for your money across the country and 10 of those colleges are in the Hudson Valley region. Here are the schools that made the cut:

#83- Vassar College

#188- St. Thomas Aquinas

#240- SUNY New Paltz

#249- Marist College

#482- Iona College

#492- Sarah Lawrence College

#568- Dominican College

#576- SUNY Purchase

#640 Mercy College

#717- Bard College

Over 20 schools in New York made the list as well. I won't lie, I didn't read the entire list (I just searched for local schools) because 727 is A LOT of schools to go through. So sue me. SUNY Binghamton was the highest-ranking New York college at #26, with Stony Brook University close behind at #34. My alma mater, SUNY Brockport, ranked at #171. It's great to see so many SUNY schools making the list.
