The athletic director for the Hyde Park school district was arrested, along with her husband, over allegations that they stole from school district.

The Town of Hyde Park Police department charged 42-year-old Amy McCardle-Rausenberger and her husband Scott Rausenberger, 37, with second-degree grand larceny after an investigation into their behavior began in last month.

On Tuesday morning, police executed a search warrant at their home on Grand Avenue in the Town of Newburgh. Authorities didn't reveal what was discovered, but they did mention a large amount of stolen property was recovered from inside the home and detached garage.

The husband runs a triathlon and fitness training company out of the house called 'Go Fast Get Fit', officials say. Authorities continue to investigate whether the thefts are in relation to the business.

Both were arraigned in Hyde Park Town Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail.

Police say their investigation is continuing.
