You may have seen those cool looking 3D photos popping up on Facebook. Here's how you can make one yourself.

Facebook has been rolling out a new feature that lets users post interactive 3D photos to their timelines. While the photos are super easy to create, you do need a few things to get started.

The first and most important ingredient to making a 3D photo is to have a newer iPhone with dual camera lenses. If you own the 7 Plus, 8 Plus, X, XS, or XS Max you are all set.

Secondly, you'll need to make sure your Facebook app lets you post 3D photos. The feature has been slowly rolling out to select users, but you can force the update to your phone by visiting the Facebook 360 page and liking it.  After that, you need to force quit the Facebook app by swiping up and restart it again.

Now, when you make a post, 3D photo will be one of the options available to you. Just click and select one of the pictures you've taken in portrait mode, using the dual camera, and you're ready to go. Facebook will automatically convert your photo into a 3D image that will be posted to your page.

If you're able to post 3D images to Facebook, we'd love to see them. Be sure to send us a link or tag us on our page.
