The little bit of weather that was forecasted, never really happened, so we've seen a good deal of dry and seasonal weather this holiday weekend.  The high pressure that has been in control of the Hudson Valley's weather will begin to shift east and that will allow a warm front to slide into the area.  We're aren't suppose to get any showers or thunderstorms from this front, but you'll notice an increase in the humidity.

Monday will turn out to be a hot day, with plenty of sunshine and temps in the 90's.  The hot weather will continue for most of the week.  It will be a warm start for the kids heading back to school.  A cold front will be bring us relief from warm weather by Friday.

Here's the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Monday:  Mostly sunny, hot and humid. High near 90.  Heat index values could be as high at 97.

Monday night: Partly cloudy, low 72.

Tuesday:  Mostly sunny, and hot.  High near 91.  A chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and hot.  High near 90.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and hot.  High near 91.  A chance of showers.
