If you're not familiar with Pets Alive in Middletown, I'll give you a quick background. Pets Alive is a no-kill animal rescue organization that has saved countless animals right here in the Hudson Valley and beyond. And now they need our help. It's a great chance to give back and to help the animals.

Pets Alive has joined the Saving Pets Challenge 2018, a fundraising competition on CrowdRise. Participating organizations will compete for $250,000 in prize money. Pets Alive is trying to raise at least $100,000 to give their kennel a major facelift in what they're calling a trans-fur-mation project.

The Saving Pets Challenge runs through Thursday, May 31. The five organizations that raise the most will win cash grants, and the organization that raises the most will win the grand prize of $50,000.
