A local family is looking for assistance after surviving a devastating fire.

We received a message from one of our listeners Chris informing us that his cousins house burnt down on Thursday, July 20th in Accord New York. Gavin and Rena Kiersted and their three children, Natalie, Madisen, Landon and their two pets were able to escape the blaze unharmed, however they have been left with nothing.

The Kiersted's neighbor Shaye Davis has started a GoFundMe Page to help the family start over. All of their personal belongings, clothes, toys and valuables are gone.

As of Friday morning July, 21st the page has raised $2,885 of their $10,000 goal. One thing we are 100% sure of is that our listeners and the Hudson Valley community are excellent at coming together to help a neighbor in need. If you have the resources to donate, you can visit the Kiersted GoFundMe Page to make a donation.
