A very hot day is planned for Monday.  How hot will it be, enough the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for entire Hudson Valley.  The advisory will run from 11am to 8pm on Monday.  Heat index values will be 95 to 100 degrees for at least two consecutive hours.  It will be a combination of hot temperatures and high humidity.   They warn about heat related illnesses.   They urge you to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check on relatives and neighbors.  Also take extra precautions if you work outside.

The National Weather Service forecast is calling for daytime high on Monday of 93, with a heat index as high as 99.  There will be isolated showers and thunderstorms after 3pm.  Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain.  The weather pattern will cool a bit as we head into the rest of the week with temperatures in the mid 80’s.
