Gertrude Frances Landi, an Ulster Park Resident, Dies at 89

Gertrude Frances Landi, 89, of Ulster Park, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine, NY. She was born April 23, 1927 in Whiteport, NY to the late Edward and Agnes (Cable) Brown. Trudy was married to Casimiro "Cas" Landi, who passed away on April 24, 2014.

She graduated from St. Peter's Parochial School & Kingston High School, Class of 1945. She then worked at the local knitting mills and later at Benedictine Hospital. Trudy was a Life member of the St. Remy Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as President, Vice President, and Secretary. She worked at Fireman's bazaars, pancake breakfasts, and spaghetti dinners. She also was instrumental in starting the St. Remy Coach House Players who performed at many Christmas parties. She also enjoyed bowling, flowers, and birds. Trudy had three wonderful children, Orlando "Butch" Landi and his wife Barbara of St. Remy, Joseph D. Landi and his wife Terry of St. Remy and Melissa L. Feinberg and her late husband Van of Stone Ridge, three grandchildren, Daniel J. Landi and his wife Danielle, Katherine "Katie" Landi and Emily Feinberg, seven brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, where friends and family may visit on Monday April 3rd from 4pm to 8pm. The funeral procession will form on Tuesday April 4th at 8:45am at the funeral home and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, Esopus where at 10am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in St. Remy Rural Cemetery.
