FISHKILL – Frank N. Pugliese, a resident of Fishkill, formerly of Manhattan, died on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the V.A. Hudson Valley Health Care System at Castle Point. He was 95 years old.

Son of the late Francesco and Anna (Maranta) Pugliese, he was born in Herkimer, NY on May 13, 1922. In 1942, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during World War II. For many years, Frank owned and operated The Ad Lib, a bar in Midtown Manhattan. Frank enjoyed eating out with his family, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, watching Gunsmoke and the Yankees.

Frank was predeceased by his wife, Anita Quaid Pugliese, in 2015.

He is survived by his son, Marc Pugliese and his wife Marie of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren, Michael, Frankie, Gabriella and Nicholas Pugliese; as well as many loving nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also predeceased by his eight brothers and sisters, Jennie, Genevieve, Aurora, Rosina, Faust, Karl, Joe and Jimmy.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15th at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie.

The family would like to offer their deepest gratitude to the physicians, nurses and staff members of the 2nd Floor Unit at Castle Point for the incredible care and compassion they bestowed upon Frank throughout his final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VA Hudson Valley Health Care System, Castle Point Campus, 41 Castle Point Road, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
