Calling all Hudson Valley bartenders and chefs: if you’ve been looking for your big break on TV, this could be it. The popular Food Network TV show Chopped is seeking local people to take part in their upcoming season.

Chopped airs Tuesday nights at 10PM on the Food Network. Each episode, four chefs square off over three rounds of cooking competition. Lohud reports that as the show is gearing up for a new season, they’re looking for an infusion of new talent. On the line for the winning chef is $10,000 and one hell of a promotional opportunity. Anyone interested in applying should visit choppedcasting.com for more information.

According to their website, the first episode of Chopped aired in June of 2007 and we’ve seen several different versions of the show over the years. This wouldn’t be the first time local residents have been on the show as several Hudson Valley chefs have appeared in the past.
