Five Charged with Robbery and Murder of Hudson Valley Man

5 men were charged with robbing and killing a 34-year-old Hudson Valley man.

In Southern District of New York Court, Jeffery Herring, Travis Davis, Jesse Hummel, Mark Mack, and Andrew Reynolds were all charged with murder, robbery, and robbery conspiracy in connection with the death of 34-year-old Michael Northcote, of Swan Lake.

Officials allege that on October 12, 2015, the defendants carried out a home-invasion robbery of Northcote, a marijuana dealer, at 177 Cohen & Cohen Road in Swan Lake. During the robbery, Herring allegeldy shot and killed Northcote.

No other details were provided.

A joint investigation into the murder was conducted by the FBI, the New York State Police, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, the Village of Monticello Police Department, the Village of Liberty Police Department, the Town of Fallsburg Police Department, the United States Marshals Service, the New York City Police Department, and the Casa Grande, Arizona, Police Department.
