FBI Raids Hudson Valley Community
The FBI conducted raids at various locations at a Hudson Valley community.
Thursday, Federal Agents raided the ultra-Orthodox Village of Kiryas Joel. There are reports that authorities targeted schools, facilities, the village's public safety building, and a property run by United Talmudical Academy.
The purpose of the raids are unclear. The FBI confirmed the raids but would not provide other details.
According to the New York Daily News, the investigation comes after a video was posted on social media showing a school principal appearing to kiss a child on the face for several seconds. Video also shows the man sitting near the boy and at one point claps his hands over his pelvic region.
School officials looked into the video, said there was no abuse, and declined to bring charges.
