Esther R. Roarabaugh, a Poughkeepsie Resident, Dies at 71

Esther R. Roarabaugh, a resident of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 71.
Daughter of the late Dominic and Antoinette Cicoria Rossetti, she was born April 1, 1946 in Port Chester. She married Donald L. Roarabaugh on February 14, 1986. Mr. Roarabaugh survives at home in Poughkeepsie.
Prior to her retirement, Esther worked as a bookkeeper for South Road Holding in Poughkeepsie. She was a member of the Mid-Hudson Church of Christ in Poughkeepsie. She treasured the time she spent bible teaching, especially to the little ones. Esther also enjoyed working on stained glass.
In addition to her husband, Don, she is survived by her children, Laura O'Reilly, Michelle Frost and her husband, Ron, Donald Roarabaugh, Jr., Matthew Roarabaugh, and Clarissa McKay and her husband, Tom; her brothers, Vincent, Dominic, Raymond and Michael "Mickey" Rossetti; her sister, Josephine Sessa; her grandchildren, Johnathan Gossett, Justin McNamara, Kaydance Roarabaugh, and Sebastian McKay; her great-grandchildren, Parker and Vada Gossett; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Mid-Hudson Church of Christ, 112 Montgomery Street in Poughkeepsie.
