Happy Monday! Welcome back from what I think has been the nicest weekend so far here in the Hudson Valley.

I tried to get out as much as possible this weekend, because it was Earth Day and I'm so tired of being cooped up inside. On Saturday I took part in a little self -made Hudson Valley adventure. I headed to Innisfree Gardens in Millbrook, which has quickly become one of my favorite places to visit when the weather is right. After the stroll, I was pretty thirsty for an ice cold beer. I had read about this farm/brewery in Poughkeepsie and had to check it out.

Plan Bee Farm Brewery is the definition of local beer. All their beers are made with ingredients from New York or that have been grown on their farm right here in the Valley. The drive up to the farm had me asking so many questions, mainly, "why haven't I been here before?" I passed a few abandoned barns and then came to the main entrance. I saw the Farm Fresh Beer sign and knew I was in the right spot:

The vibe at Plan Bee is relaxed and friendly, with tables, benches and a fire pit along with music playing in the background. It's very unassuming. You walk up and there's a shed with beautifully bottled beers and a cooler with their farm beer on tap. I went with the beer on tap and wasn't disappointed. The smooth lemon flavor quenched my post hike thirst.

I'm excited to see how Plan Bee grows. They have two beautiful barn structures that I would love to drink in in the near future. Also, they have three adorable baby goats that are my new best friends and all named after Harry Potter characters (the light colored one is Hermione.) Visit Plan Bee Farm Brewery at 115 Underhill Road in Poughkeepsie when you get a chance, it is not to be missed.
