Dr. Francis Anthony Tarantino, 64, of Bolivia, North Carolina, formerly of Hopewell Junction, New York passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, November 18, 2017.

Born November 10, 1953 in the Bronx, New York to Doris and Anthony Tarantino, he attended Manhattan College and later graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Tarantino established his private practice in Hopewell Junction where he practiced optometry for over 30 years. He most recently served the veterans at the VA Optometry Clinic in Wilmington, upon retiring to the North Carolina beaches with his wife.

Survivors include his wife Diane Tarantino of Bolivia, NC; children, Christine DeVico (husband, James) of Hopewell Junction, NY and David Tarantino (wife, Lauren) of Ridgefield, CT; stepchildren, Alexa Stanziani of Houston, TX and Steven Stanziani of Hopewell Junction, NY; brother, Joseph of New Rochelle, NY; sister Camille of Yonkers, NY; and eight grandchildren, Sophia, Annabelle, Julia, Rocco, Matthew, Nicholas, Olivia, and Dominic.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10 am at St. Kateri Church in Lagrangeville.
