Dorothy V. Rydell, a Newburgh Resident, Dies at 98

Dorothy V. Rydell, of Newburgh entered into rest on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. She was 98.

Born in Walden, NY on December 19, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice Fulton. She was married to Warren H. Rydell who predeceased her.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Warren G Rydell, of Florida, David B. Rydell of Florida and Gordon C Rydell of Troy, NY; her grandchildren Jamie Nerenberg of PA, Cheri Marvin of Walden, and Mike Rydell of Wallkill; three great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her son John P. Rydell; and her sisters Margaret McCoy, Anna Mae Thompson, Mary Courtney, and Hazel Clegg Kissam.

Visitation will take place from 2-5pm on Sunday, October 15 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, October 16 at 12 Noon at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeffrey Hooker presiding. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor.
