Diane M. McGayhey, a Poughkeepsie Resident, Dies at 61

Diane M. McGayhey, 61, of the town of Poughkeepsie, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at Wingate at Dutchess, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. She was born in Poughkeepsie January 14, 1956, the daughter of Charles and Alice Medeck Anderson. On September 10, 1977 in Fishkill, she married David P. McGayhey, who survives at home. Mrs. McGayhey was employed by Dr. Hannigan, veterinarian, in Wappingers Falls. Diane enjoyed the ocean. Besides her husband, surviving are a brother, Neil Anderson of Provincetown, MA., her mother, Alice, of Wappingers Falls, and several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son, Daniel McGayhey, and a brother, Tim Anderson. Friends may call at the Delehanty Funeral Home 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Clinton St., Wappingers Falls. Burial St. Marys Cemetery.
