Newly released photos show just how devastating this morning's fire was in Poughkeepsie.

Early this morning there was a massive fire at a multi-family house in the City of Poughkeepsie.  The fire ripped through the structure on Winnikee Avenue and left the building completely destroyed.

City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department 596 resounded to the second alarm of the fire and captured these outrageous photos of the blaze that were posted to their Facebook page:

The images show the entire second story of the apartment building on fire, with firefighters attempting to extinguish the blaze through a side window.

Luckily, everyone who lives in apartments made it out safely. It's unclear what started the fire, but residents were quick to thank the Poughkeepsie firefighters on their Facebook page for springing into action to put out the flames.
