Dennis T. DeYoung, of Newburgh, passed away at home on Sunday, June 11, 2017 after fighting hard with a long illness. The son of the late Vincent and Dorothy DeYoung, he was born October 10, 1952 in Woodlawn/Bronx, NY.

Dennis met his wife Tracey on a skiing trip in Italy. He enjoyed his life to the fullest. His love of travel, skiing, biking, backpacking, cars, motorcycles, and adventures were his passions. Dennis had a long career with IBM, being employed there for 37 years working with computer security.

In addition to his loving wife, Dr. Tracey Schmidt DeYoung, he is survived by his brother, Thomas DeYoung, a niece Vanessa Walsh, many cousins, ski friends and other friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Vincent DeYoung.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, June 14 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, June 15 at the funeral home, with burial following in St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery, Brewster, NY.
