WAPPINGERS FALLS – Deborah A. Hunt-Lutzi, a lifelong local area resident, died peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2017 in Wappingers Falls. She was 62.
Daughter of the late David G. and Helen A. (Ralston) Hunt, she was born in Poughkeepsie on June 17, 1955. Deborah attended local schools and graduated from John Jay High School.
For many years, she worked for Lisa Trucking Co. in Secaucus, NJ, a company that she co-operated with her late husband, Salvatore “Sonny” Lutzi, who predeceased her in 2002. She later became a Secretary for R.G.H. Construction, Inc., where she worked for 12 years. Deborah enjoyed many hobbies, especially gardening and yoga.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicolette Lutzi of Wappingers Falls; her grandson, Mason Lutzi; her longtime partner, Roger Humeston, Jr. of Wappingers Falls; her stepdaughters, Lisa Lutzi and Lorna Aragona, both of New Jersey, as well as Jennifer Dean (along with her children, Olivia & Nicholas) of Beacon; her brother, David Hunt of Stanfordville; several aunts & uncles, including Bob Ralston; a host of nieces & nephews, including Danielle Ramirez; also many cousins and other loving relatives & friends.
In addition to her late parents & husband, Deborah was also predeceased by her sister, Nona Jean Hunt.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15th at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funerals service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 16th at the funeral home, followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
