Two people are accused of trying to sell large amounts of heroin in Ulster County.

New York State Police in Kingston arrested 33-year-old Curtis R. Fields and 31-year-old Jonmara Fields, both of Cohoes, for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, both class B felonies.

Both were charged following a vehicle and traffic stop on the New York State Thruway in the Town of Saugerties. During the traffic stop, both were found in the possession of heroin, police say.

Both were arraigned at the Town of Saugerties Court. Jonmara Fields was remanded to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash $50,000 bond. Curtis Fields was remanded to Ulster County Jail without bail.
