Conchetta “Connie” Grant, a Newburgh Resident, Dies at 81

Conchetta “Connie” Grant, of Newburgh, a retired Baker for Lloyd’s Bakery and a life-long area resident, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 18, 2018. She was 81.

The daughter of the late Steven and Vera Witschard (Bonetti) Littier, Connie was born on July 13, 1936 in Newburgh. Conchetta was a graduate of NFA and a member of Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Newburgh.

Connie married her beloved Wilbur Grant Jr. on April 28, 1957. Wilbur predeceased Conchetta.

Mom was and still is Our Rock. Her belief in the Lord & Love for her family was the most important part of her life. Mom was a witness of the Lord everywhere she went.

Connie is survived by her children, Kathie Grant Gooler of Wallkill, NY and John and his wife, Cyndi Grant of Spearfish, South Dakota; grandchildren, Melissa Kirk, Bianca, Gary Carbone, Anthony, Dominique Gooler, Wilbur, Angelica and Amy Grant, David, Anthony and Michael Grant, great-grandchildren, Joseph Bujak Carbone, Gina Marie Kirk, Alexus Abrams, Tyler Grant, Antione Boykin, Halie, Janelle Bernal; her siblings, Patrick Littier, Steven Littier, Michael Littier, Mary Littier (Maddox); nieces Patricia Littier and Jessica Littier Durso, and many more nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Wilbur Grant Jr., Conchetta was predeceased by her son, Wilbur Grant III.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8PM, Wednesday, January 24 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY. A Funeral Service will be celebrated Thursday, January 25th at 11 AM at Crossroads Assembly of God, 7 D’Alfonso Road, Newburgh with Pastor R. Conti Officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Connie’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
