A Columbia County man was arrested after producing a rifle during a dispute with his tenants. 

On Monday, State Troopers responded to a landlord tenant dispute in the Town of Livingston.

The landlord, Jim Williams,80, of Livingston engaged in a argument with his tenants when he produced a rifle.

Investigation revealed that Williams pointed the gun at the victim, then fired one shot toward an adjacent wooded area.

Williams was charged with Menacing with a Weapon second-degree, and Reckless Endangerment second-degree.

Williams was arraigned in the Town of Livingston Justice Court and released on his own recognizance, and is schedule back in court later this month.

An Order of Protection was also served on Williams in favor of the victim.
