Charles L. Sadlo of New Windsor entered into rest Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was 86.

The son of the late James and Marie (Studnichka) Sadlo, Charles was born January 1, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois.

After retiring from the Ford Motor Co. in Mahwah in 1980, he went to work for St. Luke's Hospital in the Engineering Dept. before retiring at the age of 80. He was a recipient of the Frist Humanitarian award at St. Luke's Hospital.

Charles and Joan were married at St. Patrick's Church. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. Charles was a dedicated father and grandfather.

Survivors include his daughter, Marie Sadlo of New Windsor, granddaughter, Tina M. Colicino Vesely and husband Gerald, great-grandson, Brandon L. Soto.

In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his wife, Joan M. (Ponessa) Sadlo and daughter, Charlene L. Colicino; brothers; Ludvick, James and Jerome Sadlo, son-in-law, Nicholas Colicino.

Visitation for family and friends will take place today, Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 North Plank Rd. (Rte 32) Town of Newburgh.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 55 Grand Ave., Newburgh. Father Fernando will officiate.

Burial to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
