Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the NY State Ren Fair

The New York State Renaissance has been located in Tuxedo, NY for the past 40 years. With a long standing tradition of making history come alive they continue to impress and entertain fair goers from multiple generations.

I spent a good amount of time there as a young college student who came home every weekend to work there. It was my favorite job until that point. Working for WRRV recently topped that list!

This video is just a sample of the many features at this years Fair! Theatrically trained actors or historical interpreters if you will, mingle among the crowds, mentally transporting you back in time. I just go with it and assume the role of a time traveling spectator to the renaissance period of human history.

The NY State Renaissance Fair runs Saturday & Sundays from August 5th to October 1st. Ticket information can be found on their website.
