Car Crashes Into House on Salt Point Turnpike
An unidentified driver of a small SUV lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center lane, tore up three yards before slamming into a private residence on Salt Point Turnpike.
Dutchess County Sheriff's Office Lt. Michael Dampt believes the cause of the accident was medical in nature but it's still under investigation.
The Roosevelt Fire Department was assisted by Mobile Life Support Services, the Dutchess County Sheriff, and Hyde Park Police. The driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The irony of the sign above the car is too much to ignore.
