Contrary to the weather last week, when temperatures reached the high 50's, it's still winter here in the Hudson Valley.

We are set to get another big storm this week. According to Hudson Valley Weather parts of the Hudson Valley, in the Orange County area, will be seeing up to 7 inches of snow. The lower and upper Hudson Valley is looking at up to 5 inches.

It sounds like we'll have some fresh snow to play with for the next week or so and if you're looking to get out and have some fun in it, head on over to Dutchess County.

Bowdoin Park's sledding hill is opened for the season as well as their ice skating rink. Both the sledding hill and ice rink are opened daily from 8am until 5pm.

There are a few rules when it comes to visiting the sledding hill, according to the Dutchess tourism website:

  • Sled at your own risk
  • Sled ONLY on designated hill area within orange fencing.
  • Metal-edge or metal runner sleds, wooden toboggans, snowboards, skis and oversized tubes are prohibited.
  • Other items may be prohibited at the discretion of the Parks staff
  • Use return lane to return to the hilltop – Do Not Walk Up Main Sledding Hill

Sledding and ice skating are free and open to the public.
