Bette J. Bardin of New Windsor, a life-long resident of the area entered into rest on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the New York State Veteran’s Home, Montrose, NY. She was 96.

Daughter of the late William and Beulah (Foster) Robinson, she was born on November 3, 1920 in Newburgh. On August 22, 1942, she married John Patrick Bardin, who predeceased her on October 5, 2011.

Bette is survived by her four loving daughters, Joni Bardin of New Windsor, Kathleen Tucker and husband Robert of Clinton Corners, Bridget Davis of New Windsor, and Mary Conklin and husband Stephen of Middletown; grandchildren, Ian Davis and wife Erin of Boston, MA, Michael Davis and wife Megan of Cornwall, Brian Tucker and wife Anne Marie of Hyde Park, Megan Tucker Bourgoin and husband Stephan of Clinton Corners, Christopher Conklin and wife Jasmine of North Carolina, and Matthew Conklin and partner Cheryl Rives of North Carolina; eight great-grandchildren, Desmond Conklin, Aidan and Emmett Davis, Ellison and Jack Davis, Brian Tucker, Chloe and Penelope Conklin, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bette was predeceased by her sister, Wilda Marino, and great granddaughter Baby Annie Tucker.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at the Veteran’s Home for the compassionate care and support they provided to Bette and her family.

Visitation will be held from 3-7pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Thursday, February 16 at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bette’s memory may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 25 S. Robinson Ave., Newburgh, NY 12550 or to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Vassar Brothers Medical Center, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12501.
