According to the Lewisboro Daily Voice, the Lewisboro Elementary school was vandalized with graffiti and other markings including that of a swastika. Once the Lewisboro superintendent, Andrew Selesnick, was informed of the graffiti from a community member he notified the police. Selsenick then sent out an email to parents stating that even though the event happened during holiday break they "believe it is important to inform the community so that there can be no doubt about our condemnation of the appearance of any hate symbol anywhere in our school district, nor any doubt about how quickly and seriously we respond." At the time there was no information about who may have took part in the vandalism.

However, yesterday the New York State police in Somers made an arrest. Three juvenile subjects were arrested for criminal mischief in the fourth degree which is a misdemeanor. The names of the subjects have not been released due to their age.

Lewisboro Elementary school is located in South Salem and was shut down in 2014 due to falling enrollment.
