Last week the Perkins in Middletown closed its doors for good. Now another location has shut down.

Just seven days ago large signs on both windows of the Perkins on Route 211 in Middletown greeted unhappy customers, explaining that the restaurant has been closed for good. Now another popular Hudson Valley Perkins location is closed, but this time it's for a much better reason.

The Perkins in the Imperial Shopping Plaza on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls is currently closed for remodeling. According to an email sent out to customers, the Perkins will be closed for the rest of this week and is scheduled to reopen just in time for the Father's Day weekend. Management hopes the restaurant will reopen on Friday, June 15, but they recommend calling up beforehand just to confirm before stopping in.

Perkins says the upgrades are being made to create a "more enjoyable dining experience." They thank their customers for their patience during the temporary closure and say they look forward to "introducing (their) refreshed look to the community."
