Annette R. Tower of the Town of Newburgh formerly of Yonkers entered into rest November 3, 2017 at the Hudson Valley Rehabilitation and Extended Care Center in Highland, NY. She was 92 years old.

Daughter of the late David and Sarah (Elkind) Marnfeld, Annette was born September 27, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY.

Annette was a retired bookkeeper for Atlas Book Bindery in Mt. Veron, NY. She attended Temple Beth Jacob. She loved music, she had a beautiful singing voice, enjoyed the holidays with her family and traveling especially to Israel, Spain and Scotland.

Survived by her daughter Lynne Arnold and her husband, William of the Town of Newburgh, grandchildren; Andrew Uffenheimer, Jacleen Gentile and Anthony Cleminson, great-grandchildren; Amanda Uffenheimer, Samantha Gentile and Jessica Gentile. In addition to her parents, Annette was predeceased by her husbands; Armand Tumminia and Samuel Tower, a daughter, Randi Michelle Cleminson.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2017, at Temple Beth Jacob, 290 North Street, Newburgh. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.

The family will sit Shiva at the Arnold residence, 68 Merritt Lane, Town of Newburgh, Monday, November 6th from 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday, November 7th at 7 pm with a Minyan service at 8:15 pm.

Donations may be made to the Temple Beth Jacob in Annette’s memory.
