Alternative Wedding Venue Options in the Hudson Valley

I’ve never been the groom at my own wedding but I’ve attended countless receptions as a vendor for over a decade. Having worked in the industry for so long, I’ve had the luxury of experiencing most of the venues The Hudson Valley has to offer.

The standard locations include, but are not limited to The Villa Borghese in Wappingers Falls, The Grandview in Poughkeepsie, Anthony’s Pier 9 in Newburgh and The Meadowbrook in New Windsor. I’ve personally worked with all of these locations and never had a problem. They are run by highly experienced caterers who have been in this industry long before I was even old enough to have a job.

While these venues always deliver what they promise, there is an increasing trend with new couples who want a different style of wedding. More and more people are having their weddings at rustic locations such as barns and wineries.

1. Brotherhood, America’s Oldest Winery is located in Washingtonville. They can seat up to 220 people in their Grand Monarque Hall.
2. Blooming Hill Farm is located in Blooming Grove. It’s a 160-acre setting that offers a tent which seats 120 people.
3. Mount Gulian Historic Site is located in Fishkill. This 1720s barn can accommodate up to 150 guests.
