A police officer from the Hudson Valley rescued five ducklings and reunited them with their worried mother.

On Tuesday, Kingston police officer Melissa Seyfarth was at the corner of Delaware Avenue and Jarrold Street when a concerned citizen told her several ducklings fell down a storm grate while following their mother duck.

Seyfarth jumped into action and immediately started trying to get the ducklings out of the storm drain. While laying on the ground and trying to reach for the ducklings, she was joined in by a Board of Public Works employee.

With the help, Seyfarth was able to help all five the ducklings out of the hole and reunite them with their mother.
