For the past few weeks on our social media timelines we've seen photos of proud parents, friends and family celebrating their loved ones graduation. Whether it was high school graduation, a moving up ceremony or pre-school graduation, Hudson Valley parents were thrilled.

We can't leave out the graduation of our furry friends.

On Friday, June 29th the Orange County Sheriffs Office hosted their K-9 Academy Graduation at their K-9 training facility in Montgomery. The five proud pup graduates are, K-9's Kato ( Putnam County), Skip (Orange County), Maverick (Orange County), Storm (City of Middletown) and Maverick (Town of Kent).

Orange County Sheriff Carl E. DuBois said in a press release "This training provided our office with an opportunity to work with other agencies, which builds relationships. These graduates will be assets to their police departments and the communities that they serve. I’m proud of the hard work that my deputies perform and I congratulate these K-9 teams on their graduation.”

The K-9's went through a 16 week training program that focused on "obedience, tracking, agility, suspect searches, apprehension techniques and handler protection."
