3 Orange County men were arrested after the home owner alleges he saw the group remove items from his home.

Monday around 3:20. A.M., officers from the Monroe Police Department responded to a 911 call from a resident who reported that he woke to the sound of several male voices located inside of his home. The man said he noticed a group of unknown men attempting to remove some of his property.

When the homeowner yelled to the men, they immediately fled out of the rear door of the residence.

A responding officer spotted a black sedan leaving the area and began to follow the vehicle. As the officer followed he allegedly observed a male passenger toss several items from the vehicle.

The officer stopped the car and all 3 males were taken into custody.

A patrol sergeant responded to the scene and interviewed the homeowners. A detective was contacted and also responded to the scene to investigate. Monroe Police K-9 Officer and K-9 Simba were also notified and responded to the scene as well. After a lengthy search, several stolen items were recovered at or near the scene.

Thomas J. Meola, 23, from Monroe, 29-year-old Rodney Jean, of Chester, and an unnamed 20-year-old from Bloombingburg were all charged with 2nd-degree burglary, 4th-degree grand larceny, and 4th-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Meola was arraigned and turned over to Orange County Sheriff's Office on $20,000 cash bail, $60,000 bond for a future court date.

Jean was arraigned and turned over to Orange County Sheriff's Office on $30,000 cash bail, $90,000 bond for a future court date.

The 20-year-old was arraigned and turned over to Orange County Sheriff's Office on $10,000 cash bail, $30,000 bond for a future court date.

The investigation remains on-going and more arrests are expected.
