If you are like me you love to drive the back roads. Passionately known in my world as "pig paths" and the long way around, these are the route you take if you love to drive and want to take in the scenery as you go.

Driving for me can be a form of relaxation, a great way to shake off the clutter and clear the mind. Getting in the car, turning on the radio and getting lost taking a road you have never been on before can lead to new discoveries not to mention reset your mood.

Sunny summer days mean there will be lots of opportunities for back road driving. If you own a motorcycle or a convertible you wait for these days all winter. Back Road Driving season is back and I have a list of some backs roads waiting for you and your mode of transportation.

1 - Route 52 From Newburgh, NY to Narrowsburg, NY

2 - Route 209 From Kingston, NY to East Stroudsburg, PA

3 - Route 44 From Kerhonkson, NY to Winchester, CT

Other route to keep in mind are Route 301 out of Cold Spring, Route 293 from Harriman and Route 23A in the Catskills. So fill up the car and the cooler it is time to hit the back roads. Enjoy the journey.
