Anthony Menchaca, 16, of Port Chester was charged with 5 counts of robbery, 3 counts of assault, 4 counts of grand larceny, and of criminal possession of stolen property, all felonies.

According to the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, in November 2015, all 3 men approached two men sitting in a pick-up truck located in the Stop and Shop Parking lot in Port Chester. They allegedly assaulted and robbed the victims, stealing wallets, an IPhone, cash and a bank card.

Both victims suffered head injuries requiring medical treatment.

Days after, Arturo Arias Garcia was confronted by Jones. Jones is accused of hitting Garcia in the head. As he laid motionless on the ground, Jones proceeded to steal the victim’s cash and credit card.

A witness who spotted Garcia on the ground called 911. When emergency responders arrived they found Garcia without a pulse. He was soon pronounced dead.

An autopsy determined that Garcia died from a blunt force trauma to the head resulting in a fatal concussion.

An extensive investigation by the Port Chester Police and the District Attorney’s Office placed Jones in Port Chester at the time Garcia was attacked. Further investigation revealed forensic evidence linking Jones to the November parking lot robbery.

Jones and Blair are remanded to Westchester County Jail. Menchaca is out on bail.

Their next court date is July 12, 2016.
