A pair from Brooklyn was found in the Hudson Valley with almost $140,000 worth of weed.

On Sunday, New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested 25-year-old Tony Wu and 20-year-old Richard Huang both from Brooklyn for criminal possession of marijuana, a class C felony.

Around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, troopers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on a 2006 Toyota Matrix on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Milan for an alleged violation of the vehicle and traffic law.

While interviewing the occupants, troopers detected the odor of marijuana.

An investigation discovered over 25 pounds of marijuana in the car, police say. According to Addiction Resources, one ounce of marijuana in New York has a street value of $344.

Wu and Huang were arraigned before the town of Milan Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. Their next scheduled appearance before the Milan Court is scheduled for July 5.
